After her battle with the witch and the djinn, Hoodoo Girl find herself stranded at sea. Across the ocean, she arrives at a place named Babylon.

In Babylon, everyone comes from elsewhere. All languages are spoken. All the books and scrolls are smuggled there, all the stories told and traded.

But the story of Babylon itself remains a mystery. A legend tells of twin founders, whose names begin with H. Hoodoo Girl meets Hunap'eh.

Together they will relive the story of the rise and fall of Babylon, which closely follows the tale of the Book of the People, Popol Vuh.
